Just the Facts

Bristol Business Council

The Bristol Business Council (BBC) of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce (Elkhart Chamber) promotes the economic welfare of the Bristol, IN area, Elkhart County Indiana and the Michiana Region.

Meeting open to Public

The BBC meets monthly, usually the first Tuesday of the month at 4:00pm. Please contact Denise Polachek at the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce for exact meeting dates and times, or for more information at 574-293-1531 ext. 132. Bristol business owners are encouraged to join.

The Karsyn Bell

The proceeds from the Half Cow Raffle will fund the construction and maintenance of the Karsyn Bell, a children's playground item in the shape of a Pirate Ship at a Bristol Park and will honor Karsyn Bell, a brave litle Bristol girl who before she left this earth at age 4, loved playing in the local parks. The River Inn staff initiated the project in 2007, and the BBC and the American Legion have joined to help fund the project.

BBC holds Friday Open House

An Open House to welcome business owner guests and thank them for their support was held by the Bristol Business Council (BBC) at Russell Products on Friday evening, Aug. 6.

A number of members from the Council and the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce pitched in to supply the food and entertainment for the event. Kerry Smith prepared the pulled pork for BBQ sandwiches, and a buffet style meal featured salads, cheeses and fruit.

A giant screen provided background entertainment, while guests ate, chatted and networked with each other, learning more about the business community of the area.

The Elkhart Red Cross Chapter Representative was on hand to coax guests to try their hand at winning a prize and donating to the important work done by this organization.

The next event sponsored by the BBC will be their gold outing on Sept. 13 at Raber Golf Course. For more information on how to get involved with this event, call Denise at 574-293-1531 ext. 132.
